TATTOO BOOKING INFO

We hope to offer an experience that makes you feel comfortable in your skin and love the body you're in! Adorning each person one visual expression at a time since 2016.

Please kindly read through the information below
before booking a tattoo with us. We provide this information for your safety and ours. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to us by email, phone or visiting the shop in person.

Getting Scheduled

When our books are open - we accept new project submissions until the allotted spaces fill up. You will fill out the Custom Project Form. Then you can schedule yourself for a consultation HERE. Consultations can be in person or virtual, and will take about 15-30 minutes. We will get you scheduled for your tattoo appointment at your consultation where you will pay a deposit of €50-100 depending on the size of your idea.

Hourly Rates, Minimums + Tipping

Rate: €180/hour
Studio Minimum: €60

We charge this rate because our clients not only get life-long, quality, and custom one of a kind work made specifically for them, but we also offer them a memorable experience and pour our hearts into each piece. We charge the hourly rate only for the elapsed time we spend tattooing, however this hourly rate covers so much more for us personally like drawing time, the always increasing cost of supplies, overhead, a slew of other things required to share this experience with you, and the many years we have spent honing this craft. We absolutely love doing this work, and having clients that respect the value we choose to charge knowing they will leave with more than just a tattoo.

We have a zero judgment tipping policy. Tipping is certainly not required, but like any service is always greatly appreciated. It is common for clients to tip anywhere from $20 to 20% of the service. Anything more than that is above and beyond and is accepted in complete gratitude.

Deposits + Payments

We require a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit at the time of booking the tattoo appointment with us (€50-100). This is usually done in a consultation, but can be done online as well. Deposits will be paid by card through the booking platform or in person with cash or card. Only approved design concepts will be accepted for tattoo appointments.
For medium to large scale work, deposit will be redeemed at the final session.

All appointment costs will be paid in person preferably in cash, but I accept all major credit/debit cards.

Cancellations + Reschedules

We require a 48 hour advanced notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment in order to retain your deposit.

Of course shit happens, people get sick, things happen out of your control etc. However- the studio reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee for any last minute cancelations or no-shows. This includes clients who are more than 15 minutes late to their appointment as we will not always have the additional time to accommodate for that, but we will be flexible if our schedule allows for it which will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Any cancellation fees will be paid for by your deposit and another deposit will be required to re-book your appointment. This policy is set in place not to be mean or harsh, but to protect our efforts as a small business. Our clients sometimes wait months to get in with us and having to move people last minute throws our whole schedule out of whack and we usually end up overworking ourself in the process.
It is best if you plan your life activities around your scheduled appointment time and not take advantage of rescheduling more than is necessary. We allow clients one reschedule before we will offer you a gentle warning regarding overuse of this policy.
We respect your time, and we hope you will respect ours as well.

No hard feelings if you absolutely have to cancel last minute- that is what this policy is for!

Estimates

We do our absolute best to quote you the length of time we believe your concept will take. Inevitably there will be times where we are not spot on, and we reserve the right to charge our hourly rate regardless of the time that was quoted.

Drawing Preview

While we do our best to complete drawings in advance, we do not show clients a drawing ahead of the appointment unless we want to clarify a design element with them. We do this for a number of reasons, but we assure you that we will have time scheduled to make appropriate changes to the design with you. It does not hurt our feelings for you to request changes to the design and we welcome you to be a part of our process together. We do not move forward with the tattoo until our clients are completely satisfied with the design, size, and placement. If for some reason we cannot agree upon the design, size or placement of your tattoo and we need to reschedule, your deposit will be held for a later date.

Concept work

We love to do all kinds of tattoos! We try not to limit ourselves to one particular style, but there are techniques and content that we prefer to tattoo, and due to the limited number of positions we can offer per week, we will be selective about the projects we can take on. If we feel that our style or skills do not match your request, we will do our best to refer you to another artist who we believe would be a better fit for your request.

The concepts we excel at are floral/botanical, animal, insect, art nouveau inspired, sacred geometry, decorative patterns, dot work, textures, iconography and occult objects. We especially enjoy working on large projects that work with the flow of the body.

We hope that our clients will seek us out for tattoos because they are already inspired by our existing work, but we also welcome those who are simply looking for something to remember. If you like what you see here, we would probably be happy to hear about your idea and schedule you!

Scar Cover Ups

Scars, whether they be self harm or from accidents or surgery, are a part of us. Sometimes making peace with them means adorning or covering them in a way that helps us reclaim our bodies and invigorate our spirits once again so that we can feel empowered to live our lives fully and with out apology.

Having the honor of doing this kind of work is truly what has brought us into all of the other healing work that we love doing. It gives us an unlimited amount of joy to support people in flipping the script on something that has brought a lot of pain or mental anguish into their lives.
Scars can be a bit delicate to work with, and with our light hand and gentle touch we are confident we can bring you relief in owning your body once again! Feel free to ask us any questions regarding this process during our consultation should we decide to work together!

Tattoo Cover Ups

We will occasionally take on cover up projects. We are not scared to blast over old work, especially anything that is causing you shame or guilt about the past. However, some flexibility is required for these types of projects as not every idea will make a good cover up. That being said, we are happy to hear out your idea, and will definitely need a reference image of the existing work before we will be able to tell you if we can cover it up with your concept idea or not.

Accessibility

Mystic Temple Tattoo is accessible and street level. Our only concern is that the restroom is located downstairs, but there are a few solutions if this is an issue. If you have specific requirements please let us know and we will be do our best to accommodate you.

Numbing

You are welcome to use pre-numb products for tattoo, but due to the size of most body tattoos, we only supply numbing that works after the skin has been broken. Either way we promise to keep you as comfortable as we can during our session. Any pre-numb ointments/creams should be applied at minimum 1 hour prior to your appointment. Apply a thick layer of product to the skin and occlude the area with plastic wrap. We will remove the numbing when we are ready to apply the stencil so that it's effectiveness lasts as long as possible.

No Exceptions

I CANNOT tattoo you if you are:
-Pregnant or breastfeeding
-Under the influence or have noticeably impaired mental clarity in any way
-Are sunburnt or experiencing skin irritation in the area of the procedure.

Any minors under the age of 18 are required to have a legal parent or guardian present during the full length of the session.
