Rio is a body and cosmetic tattoo artist, activist, intuitive and energy practitioner that loves helping folks feel safe and confident in their bodies.
Rio has 10 years of tattooing experience and has completed hundreds of services at well known shops in the Portland, Oregon area. She recently closed up shop in Portland to move to Aegina with her husband who was raised on the island, and opened Aegina’s first professional tattoo shop. Tattoos have been an interest of Rio's from a young age, so she knows exactly how healing they can be, and as such has found a main focus on themes such as body positivity, grief/remembrance, self-harm scar reclamation and even just the healing wisdom of plants, animals, and items of the occult. In her cosmetic tattoo work, Rio is dedicated to offering dimensional and realistic work that accentuates each clients natural features and promotes a positive sense of self esteem. In any and all work with Rio, she aims to offer an inclusive, welcoming and life affirming environment and to build a genuine connection with clients in her community. WE ARE HIRING EXPERIENCED ARTISTS!WE ARE LOOKING FOR 1-2 PEOPLE TO WORK IN OUR SHOP. IDEALLY WE ARE LOOKING FOR 1 EXPERIENCED TATTOO ARTIST, AS WELL AS AN APPRENTICE. ARTISTS MUST BE MOTIVATED, RESPONSIBLE AND WILLING TO DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS. WE ARE STILL IN THE PROCESS OF OPENING POSITIONS, SO THE START DATE WILL BE DETERMINED SOON.
